Climate Change in Australia

Climate information, projections, tools and data

NEED HELP TO GET STARTED?

The decision tree below helps users to navigate the website and access material with different levels of complexity, from simple information through to downloadable data sets for spatial assessments. For a complete overview of the decision tree, click here.

I'd like to view some map output.

The Map Explorer tool enables visualisation of gridded data from selected climate models (for land based variables).

The Marine Explorer enables visualisation of marine variables.

Image files of the maps need to be created using a screenshot function on your computer.

How do I cite any screenshots of the map images?

To get the data underlying the map do I need to register ?

How do I use maps to communicate projections for my region.

Remember to represent the range of projections by either using more that one future scenario. Climate futures can help you choose models to represent the range.

A common mistake is to represent the plausible range of climate projections using only one possible future scenario.

See here for information on the uncertainty associated with climate projections.
